Privacy Policy

Information on the processing of personal data under Article 13 GDPR.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:

Gregor Fris
Lisztstr. 19
99423 Weimar
Germany

Contact: gregor@databass.de

2. Visiting this website

When you access this website, technical information is processed to deliver the site securely and reliably. This may include your IP address, the date and time of access, requested page or file, referring page, browser and operating-system information, and HTTP status information.

Our website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes this information on our behalf as a hosting and security provider. We use this processing to make the website available, maintain its security, and investigate faults or abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and functional operation of this website.

Technical logs are retained only as long as necessary for these purposes. Cloudflare may process relevant traffic metadata in the EU and the United States. For more information, see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy ↗.

3. Fonts

This website currently loads the Inter font from Google Fonts. Your browser establishes a connection to Google to retrieve the font; in doing so, Google may receive technical data such as your IP address and browser information. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our interest in a consistent presentation of the website. Google may process data outside the EEA. Further information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy ↗.

Privacy improvement: self-host this font before launch to remove this third-party request.

4. Video content and YouTube

We retrieve current video information through a server-side connection to YouTube. Where video thumbnails are displayed, your browser may request the image directly from YouTube. YouTube may then receive technical data, including your IP address. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our interest in presenting our current video catalogue. YouTube’s privacy information is available at policies.google.com/privacy ↗.

Links to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook are ordinary links. Personal data is sent to those providers only after you choose to follow a link.

5. Cookies, analytics and contact form

We do not currently use our own analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or newsletter sign-up. Our hosting and security provider may set strictly necessary cookies when required to protect the site or manage traffic. These cookies are not used for advertising or audience measurement.

If you use the partnership inquiry form, we process the information you enter, including your name, email address, company, website or social URL, selected service, and message, in order to receive and respond to your inquiry. Required fields are marked in the form. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry concerns steps prior to entering into a contract, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.

The form is delivered through FormSubmit. Your submission is transmitted to FormSubmit and forwarded to us by email. FormSubmit states that form submissions are retained for 30 days. For more information, see FormSubmit’s Privacy Policy ↗. We retain inquiries only for as long as needed to respond and to meet any applicable legal obligations.

6. Recipients and international transfers

We share personal data only where necessary to operate this website, in particular with Cloudflare, FormSubmit for partnership inquiries, and, for the integrations described above, Google/YouTube. Some recipients may process data outside the EEA. Where applicable, data transfers rely on an adequacy decision or other safeguards provided for by the GDPR. Please see the respective provider policies for current details.

7. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You may object at any time to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for reasons relating to your particular situation. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the email address above.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy when the website or the applicable legal requirements change.
